Everyone knows death in inevitable. But sometimes it's harder to deal with than other kinds of hardships. Me well, I've gone through my fair share of losses. My grandmother was a great woman, she was kind, gentle, good with words, and well the best woman there was. She made cookies and cakes at Christmas. She was always a good baker, she made my parents wedding cake, she literally could cook anything given a recipe, and some ingredients.
She always knew when I was lying too. One night my parents were gone on vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I arrived home at eleven that night. When she asked where I'd been. I of course said the most bogus lie ever. I told her I'd been out with some friends studying while really I was out with my boyfriend. She saw straight through my deceit and said, "Well that's funny because I called your Braydens mother and she said you all were together."
I stared at her, my eyes shot straight to the ground in pity for myself and inside I was filled with guilt. She had seen through my lies and was hoping I'd be truthful, well I wasn't. She then said, "Whitney I forgive you, I know your mom and Darrin don't allow you out ever. You gotta trust me though."
I simply nodded and said sorry like the many times I had before. That moment will always be etched into my mind. That was exactly two weeks before she died. I'll never forget that day. She was driving my cousin back to Washington, Missouri when she suffered a heart attack. They say you know when it's coming like you can feel it before it happens. Well that didn't happen. She clentched her chest in agony as she swirved and hit that tree. She never knew it was coming, it just happened. Doctors told us she didn't suffer long but I know inside they'll never know for sure. I guess I just wish I knew this was coming. I think of all these holidays that pass by. I think of the missing cookies, and the on going laughter. I miss her so much. But I know in my heart God planned this. The bible says that those who believe and accept Jesus and God into there heart go to Heaven. I hope this is true she deserves it. I love her so much and my heart aches when I think of her. But I know she is in a happy place and walking with angels.
I love you Grandma...

My First Love:)
Everyone describes love as this fairy tale feeling of emotions how it was so perfect, how you both were just in sync. Well lets say my first didn't start off that way. I fell in love and to this day I still feel it. When we talk, laugh, and smile I feel my heart aching a little bit inside morning his lost. But time is said to heal the wounds of love. Brayden and I were a year apart. He was in 8th grade, me in 7th. I was new to this jr high scene. I loved singing , he loved art. I loved NFL and he loved NCAA. I wanted to be a forensic scientist and he wanted to be a architect. We were totally different. But that didn't stop our flowering love. I lived in a country home where hunting was considered holy while in his home hunting, camou, and all things country were considered odd. My mom was a nurse and his a teacher. My dad did construction while his did architecture. We had two totally seperate lives.
I met him through a friend named Draeke. He's been my friend for as long as I can remember. We'd been in the same class for years on end, now was the only time we didn't spend every class period together. He came up to me almost as in a rush to tell me words I'll never forget. He said, "Whitney!!! Brayden likes you!! He told me so in study hall!"
My heart felt as though it had just grown four sizes as the Grinchs did in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I quicky uttered, "OH MY GOSH!!!! REALLY?!"
He simply smiled and said yes. I was so happy this guy I saw constantly in the halls, the boy who lived right down the road liked me! Not the blonde, perfect girl Kaylin, not big boobed Kayla, or sexually active Megan, but me! I was so shocked, and excited it was like this light flickered inside my heart telling me he's the one. I simply walked down the hall trying to pretend I was all cool, but inside I wanted to sing and run through the halls. Then came Brayden, exiting 4th hour art with Mrs. Heal. I walked nonshalantly to P.E. As he casually walked past I grabbed his arm and said I needed to talk to him at lunch. His cheeks gained a tone of redness as he nodded ok. I did the horrid running exercises, and rashed to luch as the bell sounded for B lunch period. I went straight to Brayden like a bee attracted to a honey comb. I said calmly, "Hey B." Everyone called him that I still do.
He smiled towards me and said, "Hey Whitney." As slowly his cheeks gained that red flourish of color. I then said pushing the words, "Ok Draeke told me that you like me, and I don't know if you do. But I like you too. We may be total oposites but I like you a lot." I could hear the tension through the air. His facial expression didn't change though he simply grinned even harder and said as though it were breath taking, "I like you too. I think about you constantly. I tried writing you a note but I couldn't figure out how to put my feelings into words. But... Whitney Anne Sarver I want to go out with you, so will you go out with me? Tonight I was planning to go to a movie do you wanna come?"
I shouted with excitement yes! That's how our love first started and I'll always remember those first words exchanged.

The Days of Pranks
Everyone has had their fair share of laughs and pranks towards one another but it's the one you laugh about for ages that really matters. Well lets just say I've had my fair share of theses and my little darling sister Ami has always been the target. I've done many cruel things to this lovely child as she grew up but this prank will always make me chuckle every now and then.
Everyones heard of the old put someones hand in warm water and they'll "relieve" themselves in their bed, or where ever they are resting in that moment of time. Well this was that prank. My friend Christina and I thought that night would be an absolutly perfect night to try this out. My dad was gone away like most nights, but it was the weekend. So for three whole days (if you include Friday) we were going to be alone with ,two mindless children, my brother and sister Lucas and Ami. They had fallen a sleep around nine like usual but me and Christina had decided to stay up late watching some Jack Ass 2.5, funniest movie ever, and eating some buttery and salty popcorn. She leaned over to me and said, " Omg wouldn't it be so funny to make Ami pee the bed?!"
I laughed a little trying to be quiet to avoid waking the little monsters I call siblings up. I simply shook my head in agreement. Christina then gathered our "weapons" including warm water, a bowl, and a camera. We snuck into my sisters room like ninjas from Japan. We darted through the dark room only lit up by the moons glimmer through the window. We eased her hand into the water, and sure enough a flood of liquid escaped her pants and came revealing itself through the blankets. The smell then came. It will always be etched into my nostrils. It smelled of "too much ammonia" as Mrs. Asaturian would have told me. The scent was rancid but the pictures will always make me die of laughter. I snapped three photos of my helpless sister. Then we dashed away almost as fast as a Oklahoma Twister. We then fell a sleep.
We awoke to the screams of my sister. She cried, "Daddy!!! I am wet!!!" I don't think I've ever woken up and laughed so hard in my life! Eventually a few months down the road we told my dad of our adventure with pranks. He laughed along with us as the prankster we all knew he was. My sister wasn't too happy, but now we all laugh. Well ok she still hates us but oh well. I love her and that's all that matters; she will eventually get over it.
